This page blog is a collection of the many trips taken in 2015. The photos represent some of the best times and best scenic views I have seen on two wheels. Many friends along the way joined me on these trips.
Starting the 2015 year off with a Manhattan Island ride and it was freezing. The idea of the trip was motorcycles from all over meet at 11am on Avenue Q and then head up the FDR round and down the West Side Highway - a loop - that takes less than an hour - however my memory recalls that on this particular 1st day of the new year it was freezing and that was what swung me to purchase heated gear. I think I rode home with two pairs of gloves on.
In April there were a couple of rides that I remember, the Brit and Triumph riders who I accompanied (even though my bike didn't qualify, I did ! ) to Hawks Nest a biker favorite and there was also the annual " Gathering of the Nortons" where vintage bikes of any make and model meet in Washington Crossing Historic Park, Bucks County. My buddies and I would ride on the back roads to the meet and then spend the remainder of the day riding Bucks County back roads.
The month of May made many memories and there were many trips and the one that is fore front in my mind was the day we road to Pennsylvania for Cheese Steaks. Word has it that this place was the place to try your first Philli cheese steak and boy I have to say it was very good.
June brought many memories there was a "Bikes and Breakfast" meet where again bikers and now many friends from the moto family meet up and "shoot the breeze", there was the annual "Rhinebeck Moto camping weekend" and the ride where we headed to Mahwah and the heavens opened and we abandoned the day and headed home.
Again a great packed month with trips to the Corning Glass Museum, Loaded Gun with a Women Motorcycle Club called the Missfires and a SOLO CAMP. Let's keep it there for a moment. A SOLO CAMP in the Catskills. Another item off the bucket list.
Many amazing stories, many amazing memories and the year wrapped with a ride out two days after Christmas. The weather was mild and dry so why not
