On December 10th I had the opportunity to spend the day at MotorGrrl, a local MC shop in my hood and got to attend one of the highly rated motor maintenance sessions that they hold.
A rewarding day getting to really understand the running and workings of motorbikes. Here is me working on FJ.
The objective of the day is to provide fundamental and practical information regarding basic motorcycle knowledge and maintenance. The basics tool to use, the 7 systems of a motorcycle and how to inspect, diagnose and maintain.
I had a lot of fun - there is a lot of information to take in and I highly recommend it. Contact Motorgrrl for more information at www.motorgrrl.com
I feel a lot better now having attended this course of basic motorcycle knowledge and maintenance. Not that I am claiming to be an expert should the bike go belly up during this long road trip; I would have the confidence to inspect, diagnose.
Many thanks to the team at Motorgrrl.
Just a quick update : tomorrow is New Years Day and the 26th Annual Isle of Man(Hattan) ride. For those of you going - See you there !
Wishing you all a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2017 of many rides and journeys ahead
