its been a while since I posted. After a horrid winter and far too many Nor'Easters finally this weekend has seen some sunshine with temperatures in the 70s. The start of Spring and some great riding weather is now upon us.
In the lead up to this season, I have had to trickle charge FJ who had a flat battery - poor girl - with all of her electronics its just shows that I now need to think about how to keep her charged over the winter months as there isn't the ability of an electric outlet where the bikes are located.
She is filthy dirty and not only did she have a flat battery but her tyres were low too - poor girl.
Last weekend it was Badass turn to have TLC. With over 4 months of not riding Badass started up first time. Over I rode to Motorgrrl were Badass was inspected and I cleaned and polished her. Her tyres were good and the inspection was a breeze.
Today, I pulled out FJ hoping that my cuz could jump start the bike unfortunately for my metal steed we could not get the clips on the battery.
So I wheeled her back into her resting place and pulled out Badass.
The action shots were taken by my cuz of our first ride of the season up to the Market on 9W. We then did a bit of a explore adventure ride back to Queens as my GPS kept trying to get us to go the wrong way.
Fantastic 1st day with the weather being good - a 75 degrees with sun shining day. Unfortunately, the adventure was not over. When I arrived back to park up the bikes my iPhone fell out of my pocket face down on to the concrete floor. I knew immediately that the screen had shattered. Thankfully I am insured although this is the 2nd claim in 12 months for the same accident so the deductible is high they said.
The schedule is starting to fill up with rides planned. It was so good to be on the bike yesterday with the sun out. You could sense a lift in the community as we rode home.
Now I have to study the weather app as well as get myself more accustomed to Base Camp Garmin !
Until next time, safe riding out there x
